"Reflections of Esther" is an exhibition inspired by the life and legacy of Esther Rolle. Esther Rolle, a trailblazing actress and activist, left an indelible mark on American culture through her work on stage, television, and film. Born and raised in Pompano Beach to Bahamian immigrant parents, Rolle's journey from the daughter of a Florida farmer to an Emmy-winning actress is a testament to her talent, resilience, and commitment to portraying authentic Black experiences.
On November 7th, 2024, we will celebrate Esther Rolle's birthday in partnership with Rock Road Restoration Historical Group, Inc. by opening this exhibition featuring the work of artists from around the country. Click here to register.
